Founder Story: Why I Created Women's Hormone Flow
After my postpartum hormone drop, and again when I weaned my son, I was trapped in a loop of PMS rage, heavy bleeding, cramps and weeks of exhaustion. It was horrible, and not just for me, but for my family as well. After having been on a prescription of progesterone in the past, I really didn’t want to go back to it. I crafted my own natural endocrine support tincture to see if I could support my body in returning to a healthy rhythm.
I wanted to feel juicy agian, ya know? ;) This tincture gave me back my feminine vitality.
I started with one dropper 3x a day. Within a month the mood swings eased and by the third month PMS rage, cramps, clots, excessive bleeding, and breast tenderness were gone and my flow was finally normal. As a postpartum woman in her 30s, I take one dropper 2-3x daily for three weeks, then pause during my period and restart as spotting ends.
Wild Yam Root
Wild yam has a long history of easing pelvic tension and crampy periods. It gently supports the body’s own progesterone pathways without acting like synthetic hormones. Regular use helps smooth the peaks and valleys that make cycles feel unpredictable.
Shatavari Root
Ayurveda crowns shatavari the “Queen of Herbs” for female vitality. It moistens and tones tissues depleted by stress, childbirth, postpartum hormone changes, or perimenopause. That nourishment translates into steadier moods and fewer hormone-related sleep disruptions.
Vitex (Chaste Berry)
Vitex nudges the pituitary to raise progesterone when it runs low. Higher progesterone balances estrogen dominance, reducing PMS irritability and breast tenderness.
Dong Quai Root
Often called “female ginseng,” dong quai builds and moves blood to ease cramps and support healthy iron levels. Improved circulation warms cold extremities that sometimes accompany sluggish cycles.
Red Clover Blossom
These blossoms supply mild phytoestrogens that modulate, rather than spike, estrogen activity. They also encourage lymphatic drainage, which helps clear spent hormones and reduce cycle-related puffiness. Historically, herbalists reached for red clover to brighten dull skin linked to hormone congestion.
Licorice Root
Licorice tempers cortisol spikes that wreak havoc on hormonal balance. It enhances the absorption and synergy of every other herb in the blend.
Dandelion Root
This classic bitter wakes up sluggish bile flow so excess hormones leave the body on schedule. By improving digestion it prevents the “back-log” that can worsen PMS symptoms. It also helps relieve the water retention that tags along with hormonal swings.
Burdock Root
Burdock is rich in minerals and supports the liver-and-lymph duet that keeps skin clear and moods even. It binds and escorts metabolic wastes that can build up when estrogen isn’t cleared efficiently.
Astragalus Root
Astragalus is an immune-fortifying qi tonic that builds long-term resilience. Its antioxidants shield liver cells from oxidative stress generated during hormone metabolism. The root’s gentle upward energy helps counter fatigue that often pairs with hormonal dips.
Yellow Dock Root
Yellow dock stimulates bile flow and regular elimination to keep hormones moving out. It’s rich in iron and other minerals, supporting those who feel depleted after heavy periods.
Pau d’Arco Bark
This South-American supports a balanced gut microbiome that indirectly aids estrogen metabolism and reduces bloating. Its anti-inflammatory compounds add comfort when cycles bring body aches or pelvic heaviness.
Dose and Directions:
One full dropper 2-3x daily. Consistency is key! Results can be seen after one full cycle, but best results are seen after about three full cycles with increased improvements in symptoms every cycle. Take a break from the tincture while menstruating. I personally will stop taking the tincture about one or two days before my cycle is due to start and stay off it during my cycle. Once done with the cycle or at the tail end of spotting, resume the tincture. If taken this way, you would be using the tincture roughly 3 weeks out of the month.
“Women’s Hormone Flow was like the magic cure I didn’t even know was possible. I’ve dealt with a lot of overstimulation as a mom, especially leading up to my bleed, and especially after my hormones were regulating after birthing two babies, breastfeeding both, followed by a miscarriage… Hannah’s tincture really couldn’t have shown up in my life at a better time. After just half a month of using it at least 2x a day, I was noticeably different. So much so my husband encouraged me to ‘continue doing whatever I was doing’ because for the first time in our long relationship he couldn’t tell when I was PMSing or not! I’m so grateful for Hannah’s wisdom in creating this magical medicine. It’s changed mine and my family’s life forever. 🙏”
